Last night we launched the first Talent Talks Live! in collaboration with 4c Associates at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London – it was a fantastic event!
Martin says:
“We launched the Talent Talks Podcast to help raise the profile of Procurement and connected the community of Procurement Professionals and I really felt that last night with the event. It was so lovely to see some friendly faces (and some new ones!) in person again after the tough 18 months we have all had to endure. Procurement has really shown its resilience during the pandemic and have come to the forefront of organisations across the UK and globally and it was great to share peoples experiences and how they have navigated through these tough times.
My overall feelings off the back of last night is that Procurement is evolving but there still is a clear lack of talent being developed and nurtured within businesses and it is up to Procurement Leaders to be more proactive in going out to students and other business professionals to sell this amazing profession more. I see a wonderful opportunity that we must all capitalise on right now to get more people into the Procurement Industry and retain them and allow us to combat the talent crisis we are seeing at the moment in the profession. I will do all to support this mission and use our Talent Talks Podcast and events last night as a vehicle for positive change in what I feel is one of the most varied and exciting industries to be in right now”
