An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Senior Category Manager to lead procurement strategies across the Produce category for a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. This role focuses on driving commercial value, optimising the supply base, and delivering sustainable sourcing solutions to meet business and client needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Category Leadership: Design and implement robust strategies to maximise commercial performance and mitigate risks.
- Supplier Management: Oversee supplier relationships to ensure compliance with KPIs and contractual terms.
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify opportunities to reduce costs, increase productivity, and source innovative products.
- Negotiations: Lead competitive tendering processes and secure favourable terms for the organisation.
- Sustainability Focus: Develop and implement ESG strategies within the supply chain to support ethical and sustainable goals.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams to achieve company targets and drive sales growth.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in buying or category management, ideally in fresh food categories.
- Strong financial acumen with a history of delivering procurement improvements.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities, with the confidence to present to internal and external stakeholders.
