A brand new role within the group procurement function, reporting directly into the Head of Group Procurement, where you will work in a decent sized team, managing 1 to 2 Buyers and have a really clear progression path to a Category Manager level.
You’ll have exposure to all corporate spend, such as; IT, Digital, Marketing, FM, Logistics, Fleet, HR, Professional Services and Travel.
£50,000 to £55,000 | 10% bonus | healthcare | pension | Based in Cheshire/Liverpool – 2 days a week | A global media business with a household brand
Roles and responsibilities:
- End to end sourcing across a range of general indirect and corporate spend
- Manage the ongoing SRM with the key vendors for the business
- Re-negotiating existing contracts and as well as new onboarded suppliers
- Identify opportunities for new frameworks that align with industry trends, market demands, and member needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts that deliver competitive pricing, quality, and service levels.
- Managed and build relationships with other sector-relevant bodies.

Experience and requirements:
- Must have general indirects, covering the likes of IT, Marketing, HR, FM & Professional Services
- Proven experience in procurement or category management within a private sector business
- Able to work in a fast paced, busy work load
- Excellent negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to assimilate and analyse complex data and to work productively as part of a team
- Degree Educated is preferable
- MCIPS qualified or at least studying CIPS
