This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of procurement processes, supplier relationships, and category management within the UK & Ireland team. Responsible for negotiating commercial terms, overseeing tenders, and driving continuous improvement, the Procurement Manager ensures a high-quality, cost-effective service. Strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with contractual KPIs.
- Lead tendering processes, including RFPs and RFQs, securing competitive rates and service agreements.
- Negotiate and renegotiate commercial terms, securing the best value for the business.
- Oversee supplier contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs are met.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify industry trends and innovation opportunities.
- Work closely with finance teams to manage billing accuracy and oversee supplier rebates.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, anti-bribery policies, and data protection standards.
- Represent the company in group purchasing initiatives, including international contract negotiations.
- Participate in strategic projects and ad-hoc duties as required by senior leadership.
About You
- Strong background in procurement, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation within Financial Services or Insurance industry.
- Experience across fleet or home care (emergency) categories ideally developed from Insurance background.
- Experience on ARIBA is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess market trends and drive cost efficiencies.
- Effective communicator, able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to balance cost, quality, and service requirements.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to present data and insights clearly.
