We are working with a dedicated organisation who offers specialist education, care, and support services for individuals with diverse and complex needs. The IT function plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and innovation, and they are now looking for an experienced IT Supplier Manager to join their team. This role is central to managing supplier relationships, software licenses, optimising procurement processes, and driving cost efficiencies within the IT operations.
As an IT Supplier Manager, you will:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with IT suppliers to ensure effective collaboration.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure favourable terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for IT products and services.
- Identify and mitigate supplier-related risks and ensure contingency plans are in place.
- Monitor and control IT-related expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure supplier offerings align with business needs.
- Conduct market research to evaluate potential suppliers and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supplier management and procurement processes.
- Provide regular reports on supplier performance and procurement activities to senior leadership.
Experience needed:
- Experience in supplier management, IT/Tech procurement, or contract management.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Strong understanding of IT procurement processes and supplier performance metrics.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
*X2 days on-site in Bolton office.
