We recently welcomed Brad Mills to the Talent Drive team, so we thought we’d get to know him a little better with a Q and A in our latest blog post!
Hi Brad! Tell us a little bit about your background?
My employment background consists of c.10 years in sales and recruitment, specialising in procurement & supply chain recruitment for the last 5 years!
What will you be doing at Talent Drive?
My remit at Talent Drive is to support our current client basis, along with growing the TD network across the procurement & supply chain industry whilst expanding our business to match our 5 and 10 year growth plans.
What are you most looking forward to at Talent Drive?
I am most looking forward to helping Martin grow Talent Drive by building long lasting and rewarding partnerships with our clients and candidates.
What are the best bits about your role?
The best bits about the role (albeit only 4 weeks in!), is the autonomy provided by Talent Drive. This allows me to invest my time and efforts into clients that I am committed to and want to support!
Do you love being based on the south coast and why?
The beauty of remote working is that when I do travel to the office on the South Coast, I can appreciate the coastline.
Once the weather turns into what Summer is meant to look like, I am sure the running shoes will be back out and be shown the south coast beaches. I am sure I will either love the South Coast – or potentially not, depending how flat the running routes are! 🙂
What advice would you give someone looking for their next role in procurement?
I might be biased but connect with a recruiter who specialises in procurement. Take time & be transparent about what you are looking for and work WITH the recruiter.
You are both working towards the same end goal and the ‘right’ recruiter should be able to provide insights about the market and useful information about who is recruiting.
How do you like to spend your free time?
My spare time is spent primarily keeping active to counter all the time I spend sat down on the phone connecting with my network! Whether that be running around the Surrey Hills, training in the gym, out on the golf course or trying to keep up with my 5 year old son.
On the flip side, you will find me out socialising with friends and family or watching sport, primarily Chelsea FC.
