An established procurement consultancy is looking to appoint experienced Construction Procurement Specialists to support a growing portfolio of major public sector programmes.

This is a client-facing opportunity suited to procurement and commercial professionals with strong construction experience, particularly those comfortable working across complex contracts, governance environments and senior stakeholder groups. Due to continued demand, opportunities are available at multiple levels.

The Role:

  • Lead and support construction procurement and commercial activity across major public sector programmes.
  • Manage contracts throughout the delivery lifecycle, including commercial assurance, cost control and supplier performance.
  • Administer NEC4 Professional Services Contracts, supporting contractual governance, change and commercial management.
  • Use CEMAR to manage contract administration, commercial activity, payments and associated contractual processes.
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure value for money, compliance and successful programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement, contracting and commercial workstreams across complex construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Support payment validation, cost management, contract compliance and wider commercial assurance activities.
  • Identify and manage commercial, supplier and contractual risks throughout project delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure contractual obligations, governance requirements and agreed outcomes are achieved.
  • Provide clear commercial advice and challenge to senior stakeholders across client organisations.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience within construction procurement, commercial management or contract management, ideally supporting major programmes.
  • Hands-on experience administering NEC4 contracts, particularly the NEC4 Professional Services Contract.
  • Practical experience using CEMAR for contract administration and commercial management.
  • Good understanding of public sector governance, assurance and value-for-money requirements.
  • Strong client-facing, stakeholder and supplier management skills, with the ability to operate confidently in complex environments.

Why Consider It?

  • Predominantly remote working, with only occasional travel to client sites.
  • Opportunity to work across significant and complex public sector construction programmes.
  • Broad client exposure with opportunities available at different levels as the consultancy continues to grow.
  • Strong scope for progression within a business experiencing continued demand across procurement and commercial advisory services.
