Talent Drive are delighted to welcome Wiktoria Wlodarczyk and Ollie Forsyth to the team!
Wiktoria has joined Brad Mills‘ team to support the growth of our Retail and Consumer sector and Ollie joins Brian Lombard to help build and deliver into our Consultancy and Technology sectors as well as supporting our interim market.
We checked in with them to see how they found their first few weeks and learn a bit more about them!
It’s been two weeks since I started here at Talent Drive. In those two weeks, I’ve been shown a whole new industry in recruiting and even more in procurement. One of the biggest things I’ve learnt during this time is the impact a great team has on you. Whether it’s been Wiktoria and my sessions with Martin on how to survive the jungle that is LinkedIn or our creative writing hours with Anthony.
I have found my biggest challenge is wrapping my brain around this new industry. However, I would say this has been more of an opportunity to learn from people like Brad, Beth, and Brian. And using their knowledge and ideas to fundamentally develop my approach to recruitment.
I’m looking forward to continuing this journey and understanding the opportunities ahead and building my network!
Ollie
My first two weeks at Talent Drive can be described in 3 words – insightful, challenging, and inspiring. I have been able to dive right into the action, thinking on my feet and learning from the candidates and clients I’ve spoken to. The world of procurement was foreign to me on day 1, but my knowledge and understanding is building day by day.
I have learnt the importance of perceptiveness through the help of the whole team, from Anthony’s tips on advert writing to Brad’s industry insight. Adapting to everyone I speak to, and paying close attention to their needs, has been the main element of Recruitment I have focused on. After all, we are all different and our voices must be heard.
The opportunity to acquaint Procurement professionals with the current market has been awe-inspiring. From a complete shift in your sector focus to career progression, I have thoroughly enjoyed the conversations I have had with candidates from all levels. I am looking forward to engaging with the progression of Procurement, as we are exposed to new challenges and goals to achieve.
