A lovely new role working for a prestigious charity who is recognised across the globe, has a new opening for an Indirect Category Specialist to join the business and support or a wide range of indirect spend.
You’ll have exposure and experience of managing IT & Technology spend, ideally at a strategic level, using complex tenders, engaging with senior stakeholders and be agile to adapt to change in a fast paced environment .
£55,000 to £63,000 | amazing pension and full benefits package | London – 1 to 2 days in the office
Roles and responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the strategy for developing, renewing, and managing frameworks in line with organisational goals
- Identify opportunities for new frameworks that align with industry trends, market demands, and member needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts that deliver competitive pricing, quality, and service levels.
- Managed and build relationships with other sector-relevant bodies.
- Collaborate closely with consortium members to understand their purchasing needs to deliver maximum value.

Experience and requirements:
- Extensive procurement experience managing IT & Technology spend
- Proven experience in procurement or category management within a public sector business
- Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations (e.g., UK Public Contracts Regulations, EU procurement law).
- Excellent negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to assimilate and analyse complex data and to work productively as part of a team
- Demonstrated success in managing and optimising large-scale procurement frameworks or tender.
- Financial literacy and commercial understanding
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Degree Educated is preferable
- MCIPS qualified or at least studying CIPS
