Senior Procurement Manager – Indirect Procurement
Location: Hertfordshire (2 days per week onsite)
Salary: £80,000 + excellent benefits
Overview:
A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Senior Procurement Manager to join a high growth global technology led organisation embarking on a major procurement transformation journey.
This is a newly created role within a greenfield Indirect Procurement function, offering real autonomy, exposure to senior leadership, and the chance to shape how procurement operates across the business.
The Role:
You’ll lead the sourcing, supplier management and category strategy across a range of indirect areas including Facilities Management, Travel and Global Logistics (approx. £55m spend).
Working closely with senior stakeholders and the Head of Indirect Procurement, you’ll be a key business partner, driving commercial value, supplier performance and innovation across your categories.
You’ll also play an integral role in a wider Procurement Transformation Programme, taking ownership of key workstreams such as data, AI enablement, tail spend strategy and process automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders and budget holders to build trust, influence decisions and drive strategic procurement activity.
- Lead strategic sourcing and SRM initiatives to deliver cost, quality, ESG and innovation benefits.
- Develop and embed category management strategies to improve supplier relationships and value delivery.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and establish win-win supplier partnerships.
- Contribute to ongoing procurement improvement projects and transformation initiatives.
About You:
- Proven track record in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong knowledge of FM, Travel, or other indirect categories.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the credibility to engage senior audiences.
- Analytical, commercially astute, and confident leveraging data to inform strategy.
- High emotional intelligence, humility, and the ability to ‘muscle in with EQ’ to influence effectively.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
