Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + £6,000 car allowance
A leading infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their growing team supporting major projects within the Thames Water framework. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about driving value, sustainability, and innovation in procurement.
The Role:
You’ll play a key role in both pre- and post-contract procurement activities, working closely with project leads and senior procurement leadership. This role is hands-on and strategic—managing end-to-end procurement processes, developing category strategies, and building relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project procurement and supply chain activities across the water sector
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies in line with business goals
- Collaborate with estimating, commercial, and project teams to drive best-in-class outcomes
- Engage with supply chain partners to deliver ESG targets, social value, and innovation
- Maintain governance and ensure compliance with procurement standards
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
About You:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or infrastructure
- Strong stakeholder engagement and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and procurement best practices
- Comfortable with both strategic and hands-on procurement tasks
- CIPS Level 5 qualified (essential)
- Familiar with ESG principles and sustainable procurement practices
- Confident using Microsoft Office and procurement systems
Desirable:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or similar
- Experience with frameworks and collaborative procurement models (e.g. ISO 44001, Project 13)
- Knowledge of tools such as SourceDogg or Jaggaer
