A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior IT Buyer to join an innovative and high-performing procurement team within a dynamic organisation in the healthcare sector.
This role offers a home based contract, with 1 day a week in the York office. You’ll work on shaping the procurement landscape of a leading organisation, focusing on IT procurement strategies that align with business objectives and deliver measurable value as the business is going through a major change management programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Drive supplier negotiations to achieve value for money while minimising commercial risks.
Manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance aligns with service agreements and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand procurement needs and deliver impactful solutions.
Monitor market trends and adapt sourcing strategies to mitigate cost impacts and enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain accurate pricing data and records.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven track record in IT procurement with expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex procurement and financial data.
Experience with contract drafting and service level agreement negotiation.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels.
MCIPS qualification (or working towards) is preferred.
Previous healthcare industry experience is desirable but not essential.
