The role has been scoped out to support the Head of Supplier Management – IT in managing a number of the company’s Tier 1 and largest Technology vendors to the business. These contracts are all in the multi-millions, which are key for the running and performance of the company.
You will review and monitor the supplier performance and service delivery, in line with the contractual terms, cost and SLA’s which have been negotiated. Regularly meeting senior-level internal stakeholders to understand if their needs are being fulfilled and happy with the delivery, as well as advising potential contractual tweaks or updates, which could improve the delivery.
Role and responsibilities:
- Interface between the Sourcing Team, Technology Stakeholders and Suppliers to ensure best service delivery performance
- Ensure a long standing and strong relationship with suppliers, minimising risk and assessing quality of service
- Analyse supplier delivery in line with contractual terms to make sure best commercial value is being received
- Use internal scoring methods to understand how effective the supplier and contract is to the business
- Engaging and regular catch ups with the Tier 1, largest spend vendors to create a water tight relationship
- Continuously look for process improvements, overall resource efficacy and present ideas internally
- Regular supplier relationship management, reporting and analysing on how well they are doing
Experience and requirements:
- Proven experience in Contract, Vendor or Supplier Relationship Management
- Could have come from a more 360 Procurement role, a proportion of experience is post-contract SRM
- Preferable to understand Technology and IT from a supplier perspective
- Confident and professional approach when dealing with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Understand and advise where process and performance can be improved
- Be able to compile clear and defined reports
- Proactive way about work, looking for ways of creating new ideas and suggestions
- Deliver high quality work, even in a fast paced and quick to change environment
- Occasionally be able to work at pace and hit some tight deadlines
