Are you a Procurement Buyer or Senior Buyer and perhaps interested in going into procurement management consultancy? One of the UK’s fastest growing Procurement Management Consultancies are looking for industry-based Procurement Professionals with a good range of indirect category experience to join their function. This is a chance for you to gain a broad range of industry and category exposure across the UK delivering to the end clients and supporting them as they look to invest in Procurement.
You could work in a range of client scenarios ranging from needing a complete overhaul of Procurement all the way down to ‘start up mode’ Procurement functions and your support will typically be across a range of indirect category areas.
The organisation is London based so there would be an expectation that later on in the year you would need to have 1-2 days a week potentially in the office as well as remote working and on client site when needed.
What the role involves
Meeting with clients and stakeholders to define project requirements Structuring and leading strategy workshops, writing and presenting client reports and relevant project documentation.
Managing key client relationships to ensure effective project delivery on time.
Leading supplier negotiations and contract execution for end client
Presenting to the end client how you will engage and support them and manage the end-to-end sourcing activity (where applicable)
Identifying and developing new business opportunities
The person we hope to find
A good range of Indirect category management experience in such areas as Corporate Services, Marketing, Logistics, IT, Digital etc
A strong track record in leading, or making significant contributions to major company projects, which led to a major reduction in cost and/ or improvements in efficiency (either in a consultancy or industry project role)
Experience in working with senior stakeholders at executive level and managing successful relationships with stakeholders in a project environment.
Strong numeric, analytical, verbal and reasoning skills with the ability to develop creative solutions to solve problems
Degree educated/ CIPS qualified would be preferable
