Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager, Indirect, 12-month initial Fixed Term Contract | Hampshire | Major Household Brand

As part of this well-known organisations transformation, they are looking to increase the headcount of the team and bring in a new Procurement Manager to oversee a major outsourcing programme and supporting indirect service spend. This role will give this person the autonomy to work across a wide portfolio of categories including HR, Marketing, Professional Services and FM to name a few and report straight into the Procurement Director.

This role will be mainly remote with the odd day in the companies Hampshire based offices as they take great pride in finding a good work/life balance and as a small Procurement team its crucial to have a happy and healthy workforce!

What the role involves

Managing a range of category projects across indirect services and supporting the Procurement leadership team

Working collaboratively with the business to fully understand their objectives, performance issues, challenges and opportunities in terms of business deliverables, aligning with the identified sourcing strategies.

Engaging with key internal stakeholders to ensure collaborative delivery of business benefits from progressive procurement to supplier performance management activities.

Shaping and executing a range of sourcing strategies across Indirect spend (not IT) and collaborating with key internal stakeholders in the business

Leading supplier engagement and sourcing activities end to end from definition of business requirements, sourcing, tender analysis and negotiation and ongoing supplier performance and life cycle management.

Identifying, developing and successfully delivering commercially focused, client responsive solutions, utilising a range of techniques including consultant methodology and project management techniques.

The person we hope to find

Category management experience is essential for this role

Ideally managed multiple contracts on a regional or international level

Proven experience of managing HR, Marketing or Facilities stakeholders and being able to make key strategic decisions on the supplier base you are engaged with

Degree educated or equivalent would be preferable but not essential

Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team
