Overview:

A well-known global organisation in London is looking for a brand-new Procurement Category Lead to oversee the Professional services and Consultancy category area.  This is a chance to work within an award-winning procurement department who are constantly looking at ways procurement can support the wider business and the role has a lot of variety of different projects across Professional Services and consultancy such as Tax, Audit and Legal Services. The role will report to the Head of Procurement and the role offers flexible working with the role mainly being home/remotely based with odd meetings in the London office when needed.

 

What the role involves:

Oversee the Procurement activity across all Professional Services category areas including Legal, Tax, Audit and Consultancy services to name a few and some great opportunities to really deep dive into building new category strategies in these areas.

Be part of the Procurement Leadership team and have the chance to interact with the wider exec team in making critical commercial decisions as part of the short, medium- and long-term strategy of the business and be empowered to make these decisions.

Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.

Deliver the procurement strategy and manage indirect procurements largest portfolio of spend areas in this critical role to the team.

 

The person we hope to find:

Category management experience, ideally in Professional Services or HR Services or broader indirect category experience is key

A solid understanding of end to end strategic sourcing is critical

Degree educated or equivalent would be preferable but not essential

Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team

Salary and Benefits:

£65-70,000 + up to 30% bonus and double pension contributions and other great benefits
