Procurement Category Lead
Professional Services – FTSE 100
£55-65k per annum + 20% bonus, 5% matched pension and great benefits
A well-known FTSE 100 organisation is looking for a brand-new Procurement Category Lead to oversee a £80 million pound portfolio across HR and Professional Services category area. This role is newly established within the organisation as they create a more category aligned approach to Procurement and will see you report straight into the Head of Procurement as they continue their 2022 vision for Procurement. The role is totally flexible on where you are based but there will be some expectation to travel to the South when needed for stakeholder/ supplier meetings when required.
What the role involves:
Oversee the Procurement activity across all Professional Services category areas including Temp Labour, L&D, Consultancy, Legal and Tax and some of these are very much greenfield subcategory areas!
Be part of the Procurement Leadership team and have the chance to interact with the wider exec team in making critical commercial decisions as part of the short, medium- and long-term strategy of the business and be empowered to make these decisions.
Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.
Deliver the procurement strategy and manage indirect procurements largest portfolio of spend areas in this critical role to the team.
The person we hope to find:
Category management experience, ideally in HR, Professional Services or broader indirect category experience is key
A solid understanding of end to end strategic sourcing is critical
Degree educated or equivalent would be preferable but not essential
Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team
Salary and Benefits:
£55-65,000 + 20% bonus + 5% matched pension, 25 days holiday, private healthcare and other flexible benefits
