Indirects / Infrastructure Buyer
An outstanding opportunity has come up working for one of Britain’s leading providers of independent healthcare across the UK. This newly created role will see you lead all aspects of strategic sourcing within the Indirects and Infrastructure procurement function. This Healthcare business have one of the largest networks of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. You will form part of a Procurement Team that thrive off making a difference with a strategic outlook on all procurement activity. You will report into a Category Manager who reports straight into the Head of Procurement.
What the role involves:
To manage and deliver all aspects of strategic sourcing on a designated range of indirect and infrastructure related spend projects.
Support the procurement team in identifying value added benefits in supply and cost reduction across the business.
Have full autonomy for Procurement projects across core service and product areas ensuring category spend is managed effectively and to drive quality and cost savings for the organisation as they continue to grow.
Manage a new supplier on boarding and contract performance management programme to include SLA and KPI implementation.
Full end to end Tender & Contract management including drafting and creating tender & contract documentation, with a focus on providing an exceptional experience to new suppliers
Lead the negotiation and supplier selection within the framework of the category strategies and sourcing plans.
Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
The person we hope to find:
Strong end to end procurement sourcing and category management experience across indirect procurement
Experience in drafting contracts and negotiating terms
Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and stakeholders
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Well organised, process and team-oriented with the ability to prioritise quickly
Highly motivated self-starter: ability to initiate and manage work with minimal supervision
Commercially aware and financially astute
Ability to think independently
A flexible and “can-do” approach to business needs
Salary and Benefits:
£35k – £40k per annum + bonus + pension + Private healthcare, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
