I’m working on an exciting opportunity with a globally recognised technology brand that’s looking to bring a Category Buyer into their dynamic and forward-thinking central procurement team.
This role stands out because it goes beyond the traditional boundaries of procurement. You’ll be involved in strategic sourcing across a wide range of indirect categories – including IT, materials, and FM – while playing a key part in the modernisation of procurement across the entire group.
Rather than enforcing policies, this organisation focuses on influencing change through collaboration and innovation. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a decentralised, fast-moving environment and wants to be part of a business embracing automation, AI, and digital transformation in a meaningful way.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing across electronics, IT, consumables, and wider indirect categories
- Process Improvement through AI tools (e.g. Copilot) and automation initiatives
- Contract Management on major group-wide supplier agreements
- Stakeholder Engagement to drive buy-in across operational businesses
- Market Intelligence to keep the team ahead of industry trends and innovations
✅ What They’re Looking For:
- Solid background in procurement – indirects experience is a bonus
- Strong analytical mindset with an appetite for innovation and continuous improvement
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – you know how to influence without authority
- A self-starter who thrives in collaborative, flat-structured teams
- Familiarity with eProcurement systems, contract management tools, or AI/automation platforms is advantageous
